Who We are

The Lee Communities Coalition (TLCC) is an alliance of civic and community organizations working together to preserve meaningful citizen participation and community-specific planning in unincorporated Lee County. Lee County’s communities may be different, but our local voices deserve to remain involved in all of the decisions that shape them.

Goals

  • Support the preservation and protection of the unique characteristics that define our individual communities through thoughtful and transparent community planning;
  • Promote transparency and accountability in County decisions that affect community planning and development;
  • Advocate for meaningful public participation in decisions that affect our communities;
  • Support one another, when appropriate, on issues affecting individual member communities.

Types of Coalition Membership

Coalition Member

  • Become a Member Organization
  • Participate in organizational/operational meetings by providing one representative from your leadership team to Zoom meetings;
  • Provide funding and/ or volunteers to the Coalition to achieve its' goals;
  • Communicate actions to be taken by Lee County residents to support the TLCC goals to your membership.

Coalition Advisor/Consulting Organization

  • NOT a formal Member Organization;
  • Participate in organizational/operational meetings as appropriate by providing one representative from your leadership team to Zoom meetings;
  • Communicate actions to be taken by Lee County residents to support the LCC goals, including fundraising, to your membership.

Communication Ally

  • Help to share updates and news from TLCC by communicating information about community action, governmental and nongovernmental meetings, fundraising and community events related to TLCC activities to your membership.

Note: Coalition Members, Consulting Organizations and Allies will be publicly recognized on TLCC’s website and in other materials as appropriate.
